Thank you for your support!
Why Kickstarter?
It's been about 10 years since I first conceived of Snowdrifter, beginning my strange relationship with Silas Kane, his ailing mother, and one ruthless, unwelcome stranger. I have devoted as much time as possible over the last decade to crafting this story. Now, with the manuscript nearly finished, I want to get it out to all of you who enjoy that special sense of claustrophobic, slow-burn horror.
I am determined to give Snowdrifter the professional release that it deserves, but that means that I need a little help. Between freelance work and everyday life, necessities like professional editing, cover design, indie publishing, and marketing services haven't made it into the budget.
With your support, I can finish the book, polish it to a professional standard, and publish it on my own terms — without compromising the weird, moody, and intimate horror I've worked tirelessly to craft.
Rewards
To thank you for backing the completion of Snowdrifter and helping bring this story to life, I've put together a few unique rewards:
$15+ — Get early access to the digital edition of Snowdrifter
$30+ — Receive signed paperback copy plus early access to digital copy
$50+ — Get the signed paperback, ebook, and your name printed in the acknowledgements
$100+ — Submit any story or personal experience, and I'll morph and meld it into a fully-produced audio horror story in the style of Yarns From the Bog (limited to 25 slots)
These are handcrafted audio tales — strange, atmospheric, and built from the bones of your idea. Each one will run approximately 15-20 minutes. Whether it's a creepy encounter, a bizarre night out, or just a strange idea you've always wanted to hear brought to life — I'll make it haunting.
Why Indie Horror Matters
If you're anything at all like me and have found comfort in the macabre, you understand the importance of maintaining the integrity of the horror genre.
Backing this campaign means helping carve out space for independent horror — the kind that breaks trends, pulls no punches, and never winds up filtered through the corporate lens.
You're not just buying a book. You're helping it exist.
Thank You!
Whether you back the project, share it, or just follow along, thank you for supporting Snowdrifter — and for being the kind of reader who enjoys looking for what's hidden beneath the surface.
See you on the other side of the storm.
— Bill
